So a last minute invite from Praxis PR<\/a> to them at the Turf Lounge<\/a> 330 Bay st here i got to try the latest premium whiskey to come out of Alberta \"\"<\/a>Premium DarkHorse whiskey it was very smooth dark then normal<\/p>\n

Upon arriving to the event & entering i realized it was a sit down dinner event which was cool<\/p>\n

picture of menu & was served a pre-dinner cocktail it was quite good it was ginger ale & DarkHorse with some bitter & orange peel I met the usual suspects & some other new people and took our seatsat nearby table as we sat down there was 2 classes of whiskey the original alberta premium & new DarkHorse one much darker then original<\/p>\n

There was a speaker to explain the differences between the two whiskeys<\/p>\n

As we first sat down we were presented with 2 glasses of there Alberta the Original & the new dark horse & the night menu.
\n\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\u00a0Then after chatting with table guests first course arrived and each course was paired with a drink\/cocktail infused\u00a0with dark horse whiskey<\/p>\n

Our first course & paring was\u00a0Majestic Prince Cocktail \u2013 Dark Horse, Lemon-Ginger Juice & Pineapple served with Whisky Roast Beets w\/ chili & vanilla panna cotta, gooseberry compote.<\/p>\n

Also during the night the Chief came up & explained what was presented \u00a0also between courses we were given a chance to bet on horses Through there onsite betting terminals which was cool as well<\/p>\n

Our second course & paring was\u00a0Cheval Noir Cocktail: Alberta Premium Dark Horse, maple spiced syrup & walnut bitters. Served w\/ Lightly Smoked Alberta Beef Tenderloin w\/ etuvee of autumn squash, wild mushroom & maple whisky jus.

Our Desert & last course was a\u00a0 Chocolate bar w\/ Alberta Premium Dark Horse Creme Anglaise & coffee bubbles paired with the drink of\u00a0Dark Horse, espresso, chocolate bitters & Galliano mixure.<\/p>\n

So to end the night we were\u00a0\u00a0given a ticket to get a nice suprise & take away gift & it just happened to be a nice wooden box with 2 glasses & a full bottle of dark horse whiskey a very nice take home gift<\/p>\n
